Does Rebeca offer sliding scale and/or pro bono counselling?
Rebeca has limited capacity for sliding-scale/low cost counselling, there are a few circumstances on which Rebeca consider these options:
Clients accessing counselling through FNHA (First Nations Health Authority) funding. To learn more about these programs and check your eligibility, click here
Clients accessing counselling through Crime Victims Assistance Program - CVAP (click here to learn more) I'm CVAP will cover a portion of sessions fees ($80), and I normally request clients to top-up (pay out of pocket) the remainder amount of sessions ($60). I am sometimes able to offer a sliding scale for CVAP clients who are unable to cover the whole remaining balance of my fee. Feel free to get in touch with me for more details.
Often times, forms of oppression like poverty, racism, colonialism, sexism, ableism, and others can get in the way of allowing people to afford a private therapist. If you are BIPOC and/or LGBTQ2S+ needing support and finances are a barrier, please still reach out. Rebeca can offer free resources, low-cost counselling referrals, and might be able to offer limited number of sliding scale appointments. Please send me an email telling me a little bit about yourself and your goals for counselling, so that I can add you to the low-cost session wait-list.
